FX | The Old Man
This project was 3 years and 5 rounds in the making due to several starts and stops in show production during the pandemic. Throughout that time we explored several themes and visual devices, ultimately landing on the idea that Jeff Bridges’s character could be literally anywhere, but always one step ahead of the CIA agents pursuing him. To pay this off we used aerial footage representing the numerous show settings and editorial techniques that seamlessly combine these different locales. This is overlaid with “decyphered” text transitions which resolve to slightly weathered typography representing the gritty, old-school spy tactics, Bridges employs.
