PBS & Reel South | A Town Called Victoria
I had the opportunity to direct the opening titles for an installment of PBS’s acclaimed Independent Lens series. A Town Called Victoria investigates a mosque burning in Victoria, Texas and all the events that surrounded it. The open is a visual timeline of the Muslim experience in the US, beginning with the first Muslim immigrants and ending at the time the film begins. Throughout the sequence the sound intensifies, the pace quickens, and the color palette becomes red/orange to symbolize the ignition point that Victoria had become. A great team nice on this one.
